Sefat Hossain — WordPress Security Specialist
A WordPress security specialist winning work on Upwork had the skills but no home of his own. We designed and built a custom Next.js site that presents him as a practice — with case studies, a free-audit lead magnet, and a first impression that does the qualifying before the call.
A specialist site that sells the expertise, not the hourly rate

What they needed.
Sefat is a WordPress security specialist who had built a strong reputation on Upwork — clients who came to him with hacked sites, malware and hosting suspensions, and left as repeat customers. But everything that proved it lived inside someone else's platform. A marketplace profile is a rented shopfront. It shows a rating and a job history, but it flattens a specialist into a row in a search result, next to a hundred others competing on price. There was nowhere to explain how he actually works, nowhere to tell the story of a recovery in his own words, and nothing to send a serious prospect who asked the obvious question: do you have a website? For someone selling website security, that last one carries particular weight. The work needed a home that demonstrated the standard it was arguing for.
How we designed & built it.
- 1 Started from the positioning problem, not the page count: the site had to move him from "freelancer for hire" to "specialist you engage" before a visitor read a single case study.
- 2 Built it as a custom Next.js front end on a Node.js back end rather than a WordPress theme — fast by default, fully controlled, and a credible artefact for someone whose subject is website performance and security.
- 3 Led with the person. A full-height portrait and a single plain claim — "Website Security Expert You Can Trust" — because a personal brand sells on trust in an individual, not on a services list.
- 4 Framed the offer as Build · Secure · Grow, which reframes security from a one-off emergency purchase into an ongoing relationship worth retaining.
- 5 Designed the Work page around narrative instead of screenshots. Much of security work is invisible — a hack cleaned before customers noticed — so each case study explains the problem, the response and the result.
- 6 Gave each case study a category badge (Security, Build, Performance) so a visitor with a specific problem can find the matching story in seconds.
- 7 Made the free security audit the primary call to action throughout — a low-friction, high-value offer that starts a conversation without asking anyone to commit.
- 8 Chose a dark, near-black palette with a single lime-green accent and large condensed display type: serious enough for a security specialist, distinctive enough to be remembered.
- 9 Built the whole thing mobile-first and verified it holds at phone width, where a good share of profile-to-site traffic lands.
- 10 Added an agency partner block linking to Get Shielded, so solo credibility and agency backing reinforce each other rather than compete.
